Founder + CEO
Erin brings over two decades of expertise in digital marketing, content strategy, and creative leadership to the helm of the GRIT. With experience on both the agency and brand sides, she has built a career defined by her ability to merge creative with data-driven strategies, crafting campaigns that not only captivate but deliver measurable results.
Before launching Grit, Erin led the Bluemercury content team through its acquisition by Macy’s, overseeing creative strategy during a pivotal phase of the brand's growth. Prior to that, she worked with top agencies in Southern California and D.C., partnering with major entertainment and consumer brands like Disney, ABC Family, Lifetime, Sassoon, and Durex, among many others.

Alexis brings over a decade of experience in client services, account management, and brand partnerships - helping brands big and small, from Amazon, L’Oréal, Hasbro, Unilever, Revlon, and e.l.f. Cosmetics to fast-growing startups - grow, evolve, and connect with their audiences in meaningful ways.
She’s built her career on strong relationships, smart strategy, and delivering work that drives real impact. Most recently, she held senior roles at agencies like Redscout and Movers+Shakers, where she led brand strategy, high-profile campaigns, and partnered closely with clients to bring bold, creative ideas to life. With deep expertise in the beauty and consumer space, Alexis is known as an empathetic, thoughtful partner who deeply cares about her clients’ success. She lives just outside of Philly with her husband and 2 kids. -

Head of Content
Alysse joined Grit Studio in 2018, bringing a dynamic blend of artistic vision, strategic partnerships, and extensive social media expertise honed through her background in design and fashion. Her ability to cultivate meaningful collaborations has helped the agency build a strong network of creative partners, influencers, and industry leaders, amplifying Grit Studio’s and its clients’ reach and impact. REMOTE OR DC-BASED POSITION
Grit Studio is currently seeking applicants for a Retention Marketing Manager, hybrid or remote, to support client services. In this role, the successful candidate will work on various B2C clients, and show a passion for ecommerce, email marketing + LTV best practices, strategy and management. As the Retention and Ecommerce Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize customer retention and drive ecommerce growth for our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement effective campaigns, analyze performance metrics, and continuously optimize strategies to maximize customer lifetime value and revenue, as well as ensuring that the agency delivers high-quality work that meets the client's needs and expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
— Develop and execute retention marketing strategies to increase customer loyalty, repeat purchases, and customer lifetime value.
— Plan and implement ecommerce growth initiatives including promotions, product launches, and upsell/cross-sell strategies.
— Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling email campaigns, newsletters, and other retention-focused content.
— Conduct data analysis and leverage customer insights to segment audiences and personalize marketing efforts.
— Monitor key metrics such as retention rate, conversion rate, and average order value; provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
— Implement A/B testing and optimization strategies to improve email engagement and ecommerce conversion rates.
— Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in retention marketing and ecommerce to ensure competitive advantage.
— Manage relationships with ecommerce platforms, vendors, and technology partners to optimize tools and integrations for client success.
— Measuring and analyzing campaign performance: Email managers analyze the performance of email campaigns using analytics tools and provide insights to clients to improve future campaigns.
— Business Development: All GRIT employees have a business development goal of bringing in 5 warm leads quarterly to support company growth goals.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO:
— Can produce “client ready” work and understand the importance of detail oriented accuracy

— Are comfortable in client-facing interactions

EXPECTATIONS + QUALIFICATIONS
— 5+ years professional experience in email marketing, sms marketing and retention for B2C brands
— Expertise in Klaviyo email marketing and SMS platform, and integrated partner platforms
— Expertise in Shopify ecommerce platform and others
— Experience in luxury beauty, retail, wellness or fashion preferred
— Ability to iterate quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
— Strong communications and collaboration skills, including a client driven approach with a can-do attitude
— A team player with exceptional organizational and technical skills
— Applicant must be able to work individually
— Applicant must be very punctual, detail oriented, organized, and reliable

Grit Studio is currently seeking a Content Marketing Intern to join the team to assist with clients in the beauty & wellness retail industries with an emphasis on content creation and storytelling.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
— Creating content for Grit Studio’s entities / clients’ social media account
— Researching as needed to prepare for Grit Studio client project
— Assisting on photo shoots as needed
— Performing administrative tasks
— Assisting with client communications & meetings
— Researching and managing brand partnerships
— Researching, creating and managing client projects
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO:
— Take ownership over tasks and deadlines / can work independently
— Are receptive to feedback and apt to find solutions
— Are super proactive, productive and take initiative
— Are eager to learn about the content marketing industry
EXPECTATIONS + QUALIFICATIONS:
— Current college student or recent graduate
— Studying or degree in relevant field
— Interest in social media, email marketing, content marketing, retail and design
— Applicant must be very punctual, detail oriented, organized, and reliable
— Applicant must have a flexible work schedule for freelance work, average 10 hours per week
